Audition Requirements

Assumption University, School of Music would like to welcome every candidate who has a background in music and highly interested to seriously take music as your future career. 

The NEXT COMING UP audition for the SEMESTER 1/2013 will be held on Tuesday, 9th April 2012 from 9am.

What you will be asked to do on the audition date ....

1. Perform two songs or pieces of your own choices differently in term of style, genre, tempo or musical period.

2. You will be asked to demonstrate some scales and arpeggios which will be selected by the judge, including some instrumental exercise, ear-testing and sight reading skills.

3. You need to do the theory paper exam at the same day of the performing audition. (The example of the exam can be downloaded below.) However, the theory exam is not the ultimate judgement to cut you from the admission if you fail, but you will be required to take an intensive class before the term starts. However, your performance audition in number 1. and 2. must be above the 'pass' standard.
