Composition, Music Technology, Harmony and Counterpoint

Dr. Paul Yeo holds the Master of Music in Composition and the Doctor of Musical Arts in Composition with an emphasis in Electronic and Computer Music, which is essentially equivalent to double major in Music Composition and Electro-Acoustic Music from the University of Texas at Austin, TX, USA.

Dr. Yeo worked as a Full-Time Instructor and Assistant Professor of Music Composition and Electronic/Computer Music at Baekseok University and Sookmyung Women's University between March 2003 to February 2007. Besides, he served as a Technical Director at well-recognized music production companies in Seoul, Korea, such as TWO-ONE Media Co., Ltd., POSDATA Co., Ltd., and Essence 21 Co., Ltd. These experiences have enriched his educational teaching and also been a valuable addition to his working background.

As a Composer, Dr. Paul Yeo was the 2nd winner of 28th Annual Young Composers' Competition held by the National Association of Composers in USA (NACUSA) and received numerous "Call for Works" awards from Ears & Feet, LATEX in USA, Logos Foundation in Belgium, and Korea Electro-Acoustic Music Society (KEAMS).

His music works and research papers have been performed and published at Music Festivals in USA, Belgium, and Korea, as well as the Acoustical Society of Korea.

In addition to traditional mediums, Dr. Yeo's compositions include works for the electronic-acoustic and computer mediums. He is also involved in research on issues related to music technology productions because he holds a certificate of "Pro Tools ALL-IN-ONE Course" from AudioGraph International, CA, USA: an internationally well-recognized certificate for Pro Tools system, Digital Audio Workstation, and Music Technology field.
